La Despensa is a Miami based business that produces homemade, high quality Spanish food to takeaway or eat in. Every day the chef, Gabriel Silva, creates a wide range of dishes that bring a taste of Spain to the tables of Key Biscayne.
Hey came up with a visual brand identity that represents a real “despensa”.
The logotype is distributed like food shelving which creates different modules and levels.
It’s a system which is not only evocative but also practical allowing it to be developed in different ways as the brand evolves.
The colours bring to mind the sea and island life on the Keys. The taglines When homemade and gourmet are the same thing or When paella and bravas just taste as paella and bravas were created to reinforce the brand strategy and position. Hey also created the other brand materials necessary for the business such as the takeaway packaging, window signage, the menu and drinks coasters.
