Kosmopolis is a renowned literature festival that CCCB organizes every two years in Barcelona. The festival spans five days, yet its enduring impact persists through a year-round program that sustains the event’s vibrant spirit. By championing the concept of amplified literature in diverse manifestations, the event unites various literary professionals to engage in discussions addressing the pivotal issues shaping literature today.
This year, our primary objective was to visually encapsulate the essence of amplified literature in a more direct and impactful manner. To achieve this, our journey began with a typographic treatment, strategically extending it to the exteriors to engender a pronounced and immersive effect. As the design progressed, we seamlessly incorporated shapes to enhance its overall harmony, ensuring that they served as a complementary rather than disparate element.
To match this powerful typographic treatment we choose five colors for the graphic system. The fusion of these hues resulted in vibrant combinations, contributing to the development of a dynamic and lively visuals.
We aspired to create a lasting and impactful impression, solidifying the festival’s identity not just during its active duration but also throughout the entire year. Our strategy involved crafting visually appealing merchandise that serves as a continuous representation of the festival’s essence.
